AVENGERSSSSSSSSS

Just watch the Avengers movie last night at the midnight premier! Not going to lie, I haven’t really been a great big avengers fan and might have slightly jumped on the bandwagon, but I’m not totally inept as to not know who each of the characters are and their backgrounds. I know the characters, who they are, and realize that YES, they are from a comic book and not everything may be all right with the movie, etc. etc. So, if I say something that you disagree with, well then, sorry. :p

First off, I must say that I really loved the movie. Though, I can say that it wasn’t really one that was meant to be 3D. While it was enjoyable in the format, there wasn’t really much to make it special in 3D. It was a fun way to see the movie, but I’d rather spend the money, if I see it a second time, to go and see the film in normal 2D format. But hey, if you’re excited to see the film for the first time and have the cash to spare, go ahead, you won’t be disappointed.

Movie time! I personally loved the whole thing. The action was great and the plot went along relatively smoothly. Though, probably due to the Robert Downey Jr. version of Iron Man and the need to make sure that his character’s personality wasn’t sticking out, the movie had more than a handful of comedic moments in which the whole theater was put into peals of laughter. This did nothing to the movie though for me than just make it more enjoyable.  Though there was a lot of comedy in this otherwise action filled film, the timing of it was executed wonderfully by the fantastic cast of the film, and written wonderfully by the script writers, so kudos to them all. The only thing that I might have to say is that if one did not know the story of the Avengers or had not seen some of the prior films to this/not read any of the comics they might have been a tad bit confused as to what was going on at times.

Little quirks about the movie that bugged me on a menial level. In the movie Thor was referred to as a demigod i.e. A being with partial or lesser divine status, such as a minor deity, the offspring of a god and a mortal or a mortal raised to divine rank. Thor, according to the Norse mythology is a god. Plain and simple he is the God of the Sky, thunder, etc….also, if I’m recalling right, even in the original comic he was still the god Thor, son of Odin, and even in the previous movie of the Marvel character he was affirmed to be a God, not a demi. Why they changed the terminology baffles me, but it could have been done for a variety of reasons, hopefully of which are well explained. So, I’m gonna let that slide.

Overall, loved the movie soooooo much. It was the first of my summer vacation that I have watched and I could not have picked a better one to watch. Got myself a free poster at the premier and had a blast seeing everyone excited and dressing up for it. Though it has a couple little things about it and even though it was only ranked 3 1/2 stars (goodness knows why it’s that low), I absolutely loved it and plan on going to see it again. Great movie, fantastic cast, and overall a great experience!

And that’s my two cents,

First Post….

So, I’m not going to lie, I’m a bit of nerd. However, just so that I have a place to record that, this tumblr has been created! Yaaayyy….. This will be used to post my own personal opinions of books, movies and television shows that I have seen and have an opinion on. Overall, this will try to be a more traditional blog. Kind of. We’ll see how long this lasts before I just go to shipping fandoms.

Sincerely,
